Paragon at the Silverstone Classic 2013

The 2013 Silverstone Classic is a fabulous 3 day weekend of ‘Flat Out Fun for all the Family’. Now in its 23rd year, the ‘World’s Biggest Classic Motor Racing Festival’, has around 1000 beautiful and exotic race cars competing, attracting over 1000 competitors, with over 7000 fabulous classic cars on the infield over the weekend.

This weekend saw a good showing from Paragon, with Saturday evening featured Mark Sumpter and Adrian Slater racing in their fantastic 1965 2.0 litre 911 in the Piper Heidsieck International Trophy exclusively for Pre-66 GT cars.

Sunday featured a rather special parade lap with a salute to the golden anniversary of the iconic Porsche 911 - just over 1200 911's took to the Silverstone Grand Prix circuit. Quite a sight!

From Paragon we had Mark and Adrian's 911 (964) racecars, our exceptional 1965 2.0 litre 911, our recently restored 1973 911 2.7 RS touring and Adrian's 911 (991) Cabriolet.

The undoubted highlight had to be our GT1 which featured at the very front of the parade - in amongst some famous racing drivers that included Derek Bell, David Piper and Richard Atwood.

An extraordinary event.
