When you're thinking of buying a Porsche, sometimes the models, designations and numbers can get a little daunting, so we thought it might help if we explained things a little. Of course, if you really want to know what's great about each model then you should come down and talk to us - but hopefully this guide will give you a feel for the different models.

Porsche 911

The absolute icon of sports car perfection that has been in continuous development since its debut in 1964. The classic rear engined configuration with a flat six engine has always produced a thrilling drive, and over the years the 911 has been an incredible success.

Porsche Boxster

First introduced in 1996, the Boxster was the first Porsche vehicle designed purely as a Roadster from conception. The Boxster took styling cues from legendary earlier Porsche models including the Spyder and Speedster, and was an immediate success at launch.

Porsche Cayman

The Cayman is a coupé based on the second generation of Porsche Boxster, with the same mid-engined layout but presented with revised styling and a 'hard top' roof.  It was, like the Boxster, an immediate critical success upon launch winning several major awards.

Porsche Cayenne

A very capable on and off-roader, the Cayenne has been a stunning success.  It features a sophisticated full-time four wheel drive system and when that is combined with the Porsche Traction Management, you have a highly stable traction system.
